Obituary For Curtis Clennon Turner

Mr. Curtis Clennon Turner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Curtis was born November 29, 1946, in Hampton, Florida, to the late Willie Joe Turner Sr. and Louise Gibbs. He attended Central Academy High School and entered the United States military on August 24, 1965. During his honorable service, he received numerous decorations and honors, including two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Following his military service, Curtis worked in shipping and receiving at Central States Diversified, Inc. in Palatka, Florida, where he later retired.

In his leisure time, Curtis enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar, and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Gaines. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Rosetta Turner; his children, Gregory (Tania) Sessions, Clarence (Cora) Turner, Tarsha Turner, Wendy (Sheldon) Roberts, and Darron (Nadene) Turner; his grandchildren, Grelonda Sessions, Darneisha (Cecila) Johnson, Malika Eaton, John Window Jr., Mikhail Calip, Curtis Window, Milik Calip, LaDarron Williams, Tysean Turner, Brianna Turner, Devon Wilson, and La’Zarriya Gaines; his great-grandchildren; his sisters, Beatrice Gibbs, Addie Pearl Armstead, and Barbara Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and loving friends.

Curtis will be remembered for his service, sacrifice, love of family, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind. His memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

    To my dear Uncle Curtis, you will be missed and I am so glad that me and my son were able to visit with you in 2022 after my dad's passing. Rest in peace Curtis. Say hello to my dad for me. 🙏🏽

    I will never forget all the memories I have of Curtis hosting the parties outside under his shed the guitars, the singing, the fun and laughter that we had. Curtis, I will miss you and love you forever. I hope you picked up the partying with your brother's, sisters and Mom and Dad. Rest in peace. Love Robin
