Obituary For Eddie Sanders

Eddie Sanders, affectionately known by family and friends as "Eddie B.", son of the late Curlease R. (Sanders) Williams, Willie J. Glover Sr. and stepfather Houston Williams Sr. was born December 16, 1935, in Leon County. Florida.

During his childhood, Eddie B relocated to Palatka, Florida and was raised by his maternal great grandmother Mary Walker and maternal Aunt Myrtle Lee West. In 1952.

Eddie enlisted in the army and severed during the Korean War; after three years of service, he received an honorable discharged. Eddie was an entrepreneur and owner and operator of S&B Trucking Company for many years.

Eddie was kind, always willing to give and never met a stranger. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many.

Eddie B. was married to his first wife Tommie Jackson, who was affectionately known as Lil and to this union one son, Kenneth Sanders and five stepchildren Larry Bloom, Joann Bloom, Ira Bloom, Gladys Bloom, and Jesse Bloom. After the passing of Tommie, he met and united in holy matrimony with Patricia "Pat" Canty and was blessed with six more stepchildren from that union. Eddie B. loved his family and his children.

On Sunday, January 8, 2023, Eddie B. transitioned from life to eternal rest at Garden Rehabilitation Center in Daytona Beach, Florida as he yielded to the voice of Jesus Christ calling his name, he entered into a peacefully sleep and rest.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Canty; stepchildren, Larry Bloom, Joann Bloom, Ira Bloom. Gladys Bloom, and Jesse Bloom; stepson, Bashawn Johnson; brothers, Lonnie Johnson, Houston Williams Jr. and Dr. Howard T. Williams; sister, Myrtle M. McKinney; maternal uncle, George Rambert, Jr.: and nephews. Kenneth T. Williams and Torey Williams.

Eddie B. leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Kenneth Sanders, Atlanta, GA; daughters, Patsy Lherisson, Jacksonville, FL and Norma Janiver, Tamarac, FL; Stepchildren, Issac Johnson, Inisha Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Keron Johnson, and Bobby Johnson; 30 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; special cousins. Margie Elkins and Willie Lee Sanders; devoted granddaughter, Cassandra (Kenneth) Grant, Miami, FL; sister, Deloris Cook, Hamilton, NJ; brothers, Bishop Dr. Hudson A. (Nina D.) Williams, Sr.. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, Clifford A. Williams, Palatka, FL, Michael (Denese) Williams, West Palm Beach, FL, and Alphonso Williams, West Palm Beach, FL: sister, Angela (Curtis) Powell, West Palm Beach, FL; maternal aunts and uncles, Catherine Loud, Lilly Bell Caperes, Dorothy Lipton, all of Miami; Emma Williams, Pensacola; Joseph Lee Rambert, Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
