Obituary For Katie Mae Davis

Katie Mae Davis, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend was born on Sunday April 21, 1929 to Laura Harris and Joel Stephens. She was a lifelong resident of East Palatka, Florida. Katie Mae married the love of her life, Henry Davis, Sr. and stayed by his side for 56 years until he was called home. She worked many years in field work to provide and care for her family. A faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church for many years, she served on the Usher Board. She enjoyed watching game shows, spending time with her family, and talking about the goodness of God.

Affectionately known as “MaMo” or Mrs. Pig, she was a pillar in the community always opening her home and her hearts to others. She was never shy in offering words of wisdom, telling a story of her life, or telling a joke to make you smile. Katie Mae embraced life with passion and joy, always reminding everyone of God’s love. Her calming spirit, kind nature, and nurturing soul will be truly missed.

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, Katie Mae answered the Lord’s call at Lilac at Bayview Assisted Living facility, leaving behind a lifetime of love and cherished memories. Her life, her love, and her legacy will live on through everyone.
