Reverend Timothy Franklin Robinson Jr., was born to Reverend Timothy and Ethel Robinson on August 14, 1937 in Cottageville, SC, who preceded him in eternal rest as did his brother James and newborn baby brother.

Reverend Robinson was educated in Jacksonville, FL where he grew up. He was a graduate of Matthew W. Gilbert High, Class of 1955. He matriculated at the great Bethune Cookman College receiving his BS degree in Music in 1960. He had the honor of being a Head Drum Major of the Marching Wildcats. While he was skilled at playing several instruments, he played the tenor saxophone professionally. He also worked as a music teacher for 10 years at Fessenden High School in Ocala, FL., and 26 years at Crescent City High and Miller Middle School in Putnam County, FL. Mr. Robinson enjoyed fishing, listening/playing music, played and coached basketball. His greatest passion was being a Minister of the Word of God. He was ordained as a Minister in 1985 and was honored to serve briefly as Pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Palatka, FL.

His love and pride for his family, especially his five daughters ran deep. He was preceded in eternal rest by two of his five daughters, Stephanie R. Beacham and just this year Pamela P. Dennard.

His memory will be cherished by many, daughters, Yolanda R. Simmons, St. Petersburg, FL., Tayla B. (Elorde Andre) Howard, St. Petersburg, FL., and Crystal Brown, Palatka, FL.; grandchildren, Jesaiah Beacham, Micha’le Simmons (Jordan Harrison), Elisa Howard, Jamal Thomas (Osheema Mills), Sydney Jones (Darius Haynes), Cristen Bynum and Timothy Bynum; great grandchildren, Dayyan Thomas, Zia Thomas, Amir Haynes, Asante Bennett and Asir Bennett; friend, ex-wife Virginia Robinson; goddaughters, Sydra Desausure, Stephanie Ashe and Brenda Mills; loving family, brother/sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends, church families and caring former students.

On July 4, 2023 Reverend Timothy F. Robinson Jr. left this world at Advent Hospital in Apoka, FL. His work speaks for him. His love for God’s people earned him recognition and respect. He was true to himself. His love for others meant he never met a stranger. He will be missed, but the lessons he passed on will remain with us forever.
